Welcome our newest member!

As many of you might know we (Emma & Martin) were expecting our first baby.

Indeed... WERE!! The little one made his appearance on the 26th of March 2012 at 3.15AM.

He is yet to be named, but he is absolutely gorgeous!

Just to say a BIG thank you to all of you who bought your Mums flowers and plants at the weekend..you are awesome!!!

 We had some amazing tulips in...long stemmed french flaming flag d'adore..... and these unbelievably frilly mysterious Parrot tulip.....

and the gorgeous Pink Piano rose....

Lots of mums have been very lucky this weekend!!!!

Bulbtastic

we have  bulbs at every turn..... in every container possible..
rustic, vintage, modern, basket, tin,  jug, jelly moulds, terracotta..
moss and pussy willow  abound...
at times we have looked like the flower pot men in the potting shed (i'll explain tomorrow Martin!!)
The floor needs repainting  as the grime  will never shift
i want shout....you can't buy it 'til Friday!!!!
But
of course you can....they are here for you and your lovely mums.
Tomorrow I will try to remember to photograph flowers....they are divine..

We are open 9-5'ish Friday and Saturday, 9-12 Mothering Sunday.
We are then closed MONDAY open again Tuesday 9am.

New love

I admit....

I found a new love....

She probably won't last as long as my previous love, but gosh... ain't she pretty???

She is just gorgeous..... on her own or surrounded by others, she stands out...

I do apologise my dear Clematis, but I'm afraid you have to take the backseat now...

Quiet weekend!!

 OK  so I'm lying!!!!
The story so far..
 .. we bought a bit of furniture for the shop......
we thought it may be with us end of March.....
we wanted to paint before it arrived.....
Friday am ...
phone call.....i'm passing by about 4pm OK if I drop it in then....
errrrrr..yes???!!!
Saturday night we painted.....

 Sunday we had our first course of 2012.....Vintage planting party with cream tea....yum!!!
It was messy.....the girls had dirt in their fingernails...
We had paint in our hair.......

Today we tried to make the shop look nice......

still a work in progress but we love the new colour...

 ..and our new flower table even more......
