Bathing Beauty

Here at Martin & the Magpie we sell all sorts...with this gorgeous green enamel bath for example £22... perfect for planting up in your garden...I see a sea of lavender, or wonderful white geraniums.

However on a hot muggy Sunday, a more traditional use was found, and it cheered this little chap up no end.

 Sometimes when you look at the weeks photos a theme is found...

Start with these delicate maiden hair ferns & the fabulous vintage bottle...

...A birthday cake with a touch of powder blue...yum!

.... wispy Love in the Mist...

Wishes, tiny succulents, and shabby chipped paint...

...Gorgeous large lavender hearts made from Vintage linen...

....simply stunning wedding blooms....

.... miniature toes in soft summer grass...

Hazy muted colours...warm sunny days...thank you summer for turning up!

sleeping on the job...

 When the bulb season has finished it gets a bit harder to find plants that are happy in our vintage containers...the hyacinths and little daffodils are perfect as they need a minimum amount of water and don't mind their roots being restricted.....summer plants are a bit less accommodating!!!

 this week we have some gorgeous miniature orchids  as well as phalaenopsis orchids planted in copper and stone....and we found these old french canisters last week which look lovely  with these little hydrangeas in ....

we have got gorgeous bright red geraniums and of course our usual herb planters.

We have ordered lilac plants for delivery tomorrow at a really good price so if you have a spot for one come and have a look at them.

On the flower side we have ENGLISH scented pinks and Sweet Williams by the bunch....

talking of something sweet.....our newest member of the team....sleeping on the job!!

Here is our little chap...now with a name at last!

He is really rocking our world right now...Me (Emma) & Martin cant believe we have made something so perfect. 

He is still a little yellow, but we are getting out and about in the sunshine to help solve that!

In between feeds I have been catching up on all the good stuff I haven't been allowed to eat...I cannot tell you how exciting is was to walk into our local deli and pick out my lunch! Eating it was simply divine!

Thank you all for your cards, gifts and kind wishes for August...we have been so touched by everyone's kindness and generosity.

Welcome our newest member!

As many of you might know we (Emma & Martin) were expecting our first baby.

Indeed... WERE!! The little one made his appearance on the 26th of March 2012 at 3.15AM.

He is yet to be named, but he is absolutely gorgeous!

I'm snoozy...

I think I like this bathing malarkey....

I can see you!!!

I (Martin) am one very proud husband and dad!!!!
