Bathing Beauty

Here at Martin & the Magpie we sell all sorts...with this gorgeous green enamel bath for example £22... perfect for planting up in your garden...I see a sea of lavender, or wonderful white geraniums.

However on a hot muggy Sunday, a more traditional use was found, and it cheered this little chap up no end.

{P.S...Baby is NOT for sale! ;) }

how much is that doggy???

.....a picture from last weeks foray into flea market land...we had to resist bringing one or all of these home.. although some of us were tempted by the push along elephant.....and it just goes to show how amazing things look at on-mass!

News just in....
we are having a summer sale!!
We have discounted some of our vintage furniture, stoneware and other bits and bobs ...
to make way for a whole lot of lovely new things lining up in the wings....
So do come in and grab yourself a bargain while they last.
We hope that you are now sitting in a sunny spot surrounded by flowers and plants and a cold G&T
and enjoying the summer...at last!!

the first cuckoo and a dutch master...

It has been the most horrible weather here lately, but surely an arrangement as bright and breezy as this
one heading off with its mates  for a function has got to make you smile....

...and we are all quite excited by our NEW business cards....its taken a while for us all to agree..but here it is....we wanted them to look like an old Dutch Master oil painting which I think we achieved...and us being us we had to add a quirky touch......

...how do you like your beetroot....boiled or roasted????

Anyway our printer said that they would be 'a picture you would want to keep' so that was a huge compliment as we took soooooooo many photos  and only ended up with about four that we were happy with in composition and quality.

So do pop in and grab one and put us on your pin-board....or leave it as a hint that you would 'like some FLOWERS please!!!!!'....

So, on a nature note to finish...I heard a cuckoo today....cuck-cooing its heart out...come on sun show yourself..... you know you want too.

Summer evenings...

Spotting a frog (or toad) in the garden..
I know.. I need to do some serious de-weeding...

Having a ride on my (t)rusted bike, for the first time since October... That's too many months!!
As a Dutchman, having not been riding my bike for that long... that's just unheard of...

Enjoying nature and the views...
In Holland we call a bridge a hill...

Summer evenings are there to be enjoyed...
So go out and ENJOY!!!!!
