Today..

The reality of the work to be done!!!...thousands of seeds to be planted....

this does not include all the plants hugging the garden walls at the moment!!!....

..a visit to a church we are designing the wedding flowers for in the summer....

while walking to the lynch gate..I was stopped in my tracks by this line of headstones...where all others had names weather-beaten and indistinct..a whole line a 'Ashley's' still sharp and proud...and totally fascinating .

We all hope that you all have a wonderful Easter break, we are open Saturday 30th and then closed until Wednesday 9am.
see you in April!!!

faded beauty

One of our new favourite flowers at the moment......
Musette
a pinky peachy old fashioned rose curled petals 1950s chic in a bloom
these have been a week in a hot hairdressers and still looking pretty!!!

The snow is still here but everyone is buying flowers to cheer themselves and their homes up....
Today we have white lilac, viburnum, tulips, hyacinths, anenomes and of course musette roses...
have a lovely day..

DSC_2393

We are a few days behind.
Currently the main reason shown in the picture.
Foliage.. and lots of it...
To be made into wreaths, garlands and gorgeous arrangements.
Time consuming, but smelling divine!

...wreath making has started already....glorious leaves and heather wreath.....

my attempt at making black ravens caused so much hilarity they got stuffed in the bin...we do however have lovely shaped gourds and mini pumpkins..
.for the rest of it you will have to watch this space!!
