We are very busy bee's and the Christmas spirit has started. This Magpie has begun her Christmas shopping.....Martin's hands are constantly black, and hurting from all the garland and wreath making!....Ma is loving the gorgeous plants and her green fingers are shining through!

time flashes by....

..can you believe that christmas is nearly upon us???......Martin has been madly making wreaths.....with a little help from the rest of us...but he is definately the king of wreath makers!!!!

Every one is different  and completely beautiful...as soon as they are hung up outside.....they quickly find their way to another front door........

Tomorrow is the Victorian extravaganza in Hungerford...we have sweets if you can make it and there may be fizz!!!

Cornish Hydrangeas

This weekend we were awash with the most beautiful English hydrangeas........in all the beautiful shades of russet.....blues...pale...vibrant....muted.....creamy whites....verging over purple.......

all from a lovely lady in Cornwall...we really cannot imagine how wonderful her gardens must be and we would be slightly faded green with envy ourselves if we didn't have her beautiful blooms here....

they're are selling fast but in the meantime we have them in buckets....vintage jars....spotty hand-thrown jugs...all wrapped up with brown paper and string......

Open for Business!

Yesterday was long....but worth every moment. We were all very excited, and armed with cupcakes and Fizz, we met the lovely people of Hungerford.

Our flowers did the talking and we have lots of compliments on the look of our shop...they loved the cool white walls, and the vintage curious adored with blooms....

Opening Excitment

This little Magpie is feeling like the day she got married....nervous, excited and so happy. Our Beloved Martin & the Magpie is opening on Tuesday!

Martin & the Magpie, is a family business made up of a Husband and wife and a Mum!

We all share a huge passion for flowers, weddings, and creative lifestyles.

Our aim is to create a wonderful, fun and flower-tastic shop to showcase our work. We are mixing our styles and loves to make a quirky yet seasonal florist.

We are going to be holding classes for all types of floristry including a Vintage Magpie masterclass

this will mean that you will be able to create a simple hand tied bouquet right up to your own wedding bouquet...floral or Vintage.

We hope to express our love of flowers onto our customers.
